Broadway's Ken Page and Jessica Hendy headline the Eight-Time Tony Award-Winning Cats in the first show of the 2012 season

Ken Page as the Patriarchal Old Deuteronomy

Gateway is proud to welcome Cats legends Jacob Brent, Jessica Hendy and Ken Page to Bellport!

Jacob, best known as “The Original Conjuring Cat” Mister Mistoffelees on stage and on screen, brings a little magic and a lot of mischief as Gateway’s director and choreographer. He is the only actor to have appeared in the Broadway, West End and video productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mega-musical and was onstage in the Broadway and London productions when they broke the record for longest-running shows.

Jessica revisits the role of Grizabella, the role she played on Broadway and in the national tour. Other Broadway appearances include Amneris in Aida and standby for the female leads in Amour.  She toured nationally as The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and has been seen regionally at The Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center, North Shore Music Theatre and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.

Ken reprises Old Deuteronomy, the character he originated in the Broadway production. He played the Jellicle’s patriarch alongside Jacob’s Mister Mistoffelees in the film version of Webber’s hit musical. His stage experience includes the Broadway productions of The Wiz, Guys and Dolls, It Ain’t Nothin But the Blues and Ain’t Misbehavin’, winning a Drama Desk Award for the latter.  On film, he is known as club owner Max Washington in Dreamgirls and as the voice of Oogie Boogie in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Ken has guest starred on numerous television series, including Family Matters and Touched by an Angel.

Don’t miss these Broadway stars, May 16-July 2 in Bellport… great seats are still available!

June 6 - June 23

This unforgettable story follows Eliza Dootlittle and London grammarian Henry Higgins as he attempts to elevate a poor, Cockney-speaking flower peddler into upper-class Victorian society. Called “the perfect musical” by the New York Times, this Tony Award winner features tunes by legends Lerner and Loewe, including Wouldn't It Be Loverly, Get Me to the Church on Time and I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face.
Starring Jennifer Hope Wills of Broadways Phantom of the Opera and Wonderful Town.

Straight from Vegas!
June 27 - July 14

What happens in Vegas… all started with The Rat Pack! Frank, Sammy, Dean and Joey are brilliantly recaptured in this no-holds-barred nightclub act that joins the Gateway audience straight from Vegas. Accompanied by the 15-piece big band, “The Black Tie Affair,” this comedy and vocal showcase features classics such as That’s Amore, My Way, Fly me to the Moon, and New York, New York. The Las Vegas Sun writes, “This is as close as anyone has come to capturing the feeling of the real thing!”

Starring Sally Struthers!
July 18 - Aug 4
at the Patchogue Theater

Grab your lunchbox, roll up your sleeves and pour yourself a cup of ambition as the music of Dolly Parton goes to work in this regional premiere. When the daily grind becomes unbearable, three working-class friends stage a hilarious corporate takeover—from the bottom up! Our production stars Sally Struthers (All in the Family, Gilmore Girls) and includes the blue-collar anthem, 9 to 5, alongside Dolly’s original country, pop and Broadway compositions.

A Gateway Favorite!
Aug 22 - Sept 8

Gateway's most requested show returns! Adapted by Arthur Kopit and Maury Yeston—creators of the Tony Award-winning Nine—this thrilling adaptation of the Gaston Leroux novel tells the story of a disfigured musical genius who tragically becomes infatuated with his protégée Christine and her ethereal voice. Fanciful sets, elaborate costumes and unexpected comedy form a show that tempts the music lover in us all.
