Jacob, best known as “The Original Conjuring Cat” Mister Mistoffelees on stage and on screen, brings a little magic and a lot of mischief as Gateway’s director and choreographer. He is the only actor to have appeared in the Broadway, West End and video productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mega-musical and was onstage in the Broadway and London productions when they broke the record for longest-running shows. Jessica revisits the role of Grizabella, the role she played on Broadway and in the national tour. Other Broadway appearances include Amneris in Aida and standby for the female leads in Amour. She toured nationally as The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and has been seen regionally at The Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center, North Shore Music Theatre and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. Ken reprises Old Deuteronomy, the character he originated in the Broadway production. He played the Jellicle’s patriarch alongside Jacob’s Mister Mistoffelees in the film version of Webber’s hit musical. His stage experience includes the Broadway productions of The Wiz, Guys and Dolls, It Ain’t Nothin But the Blues and Ain’t Misbehavin’, winning a Drama Desk Award for the latter. On film, he is known as club owner Max Washington in Dreamgirls and as the voice of Oogie Boogie in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Ken has guest starred on numerous television series, including Family Matters and Touched by an Angel. Don’t miss these Broadway stars, May 16-July 2 in Bellport… great seats are still available!
